You have to configure the SMTP host in the config_inc.php file (and not in the php.ini file) and you don't need to install PHPMailer as it is included in Mantis...

Si il y a 600 projets cela peut effectivement être long. A mon avis il faudrait reporter l'info dans le bugtracker.

The XML file is just used to help the search engine but if your bugs don't have a direct link (even if specified in the sitemap file) they will be ignored by the search engine. I just tested Google with my bugtracker (without any sitemap), it seems to work fine (take a look with the following words ...

What do you mean by sitemap? What are you expecting to see?
